Battlefield Tours

Somme & Flanders Fields Tour

Every year the Somme Association organise a battlefield tour to the Somme and Flanders Fields area of France and Belgium. The tour follows the route taken by both the 36th (Ulster) & 16th (Irish) Divisions during their service in the First World War.

There is a Service of Remembrance on 1st July at the Ulster Tower, Thiepval, to commemorate the men and women of Ulster who gave their lives in the First World War and a wreath laying ceremony to the men of the 16th (Irish) Division at Guillemont, France.
